We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our team at Woodlands Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in York. As a specialist Level 2 purpose-built neurorehabilitation facility, we provide intensive neurological rehabilitation to patients with acquired brain injury, traumatic brain injury, severe neurological conditions, complex stroke, and spinal cord injury.

The successful candidate will have a wide-ranging knowledge of specialist neuropsychological assessment and the treatment of adults presenting with complex, acquired neurological disorders. They will have extensive experience in delivering individual therapy, and helping non-psychology team members work with people who have experienced an acquired brain injury, coupled with good team and leadership skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical psychology input within the Active Care Group
  • Engaging in relevant research and advising other professionals as appropriate
  • Completing assessment and clinical formulation of patients' problem behaviours and treatment needs
  • Providing evidence-based individual and group treatment programmes to address or reduce the negative impact of difficulties
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of individual and group treatment programmes
  • Directing and supporting others to carry out evidence-based clinical psychology interventions
  • Ensuring that appropriate security procedures are adhered to at all times and that risks are continuously assessed and managed
  • Developing and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, and carers
