Job Description

**Job Title:** Teaching Assistant - Primary School Support

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at River Mead School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students, working closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support teachers in delivering lessons and activities to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with the preparation and adaptation of teaching materials, ensuring they are accessible and engaging for students
  • Provide individualized support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to the development of a safe and supportive classroom environment, promoting social and emotional well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to share best practices and improve student outcomes

**Requirements:**

  • Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent experience
  • First Aid training or willingness to undertake training
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Passion for education and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to students
