Job Description

Pure Resourcing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team on an interim basis. As a key member of our finance team, you will work closely with our CFO to develop and implement a suite of reporting and forecasting tools across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a Month-End Management Accounts Pack: Create a comprehensive management accounts pack that includes performance versus tender, project cash position with comparison to earned value.
  • Enhance Business Intelligence: Develop a suite of metrics to measure leading and lagging indicators by sector, enhancing business intelligence and decision-making capabilities.
  • Order Book and Backlog Management: Work with the commercial team to develop a tool to measure order book and backlog status, providing real-time insights into project performance.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Construct a forecasting process to allow the interrogation of project assumptions, P&L, and cash, building up to a 3-year forecast by quarter with order book and projections.
  • Weekly Reporting Metrics: Develop weekly reporting metrics to provide timely and accurate insights into project performance.
  • Early Warning System: Work with the commercial team to develop a business-wide early warning system, highlighting projects at risk with trend analysis and RAG status.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA)
  • Advanced Excel and Data Analysis Skills: Proven expertise in advanced Excel and data analysis, with the ability to extract insights from complex data sets.
  • Experience with SAP and Process Automation: Experience with SAP and process automation, with the ability to implement efficient and effective processes.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial data in an easily accessible format.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience of developing and implementing reporting and forecasting processes across a range of disciplines.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Finance Business Partnering Experience: Experience of finance business partnering, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
  • Power BI Dashboard Experience: Experience of creating Power BI dashboards, with the ability to design and implement effective data visualizations.
