About the Role

The NHS Devon Integrated Care Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Officer to join our team as a Patient Experience Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals, to improve the quality of care and services provided by the NHS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve informal and formal complaints received by NHS Devon, ensuring that all concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient experience, including the development of patient feedback mechanisms and the analysis of patient feedback data.
  • Work closely with the Quality function to ensure that all quality improvement initiatives are aligned with the NHS Devon Integrated Care Board's strategic objectives.
  • Provide high-quality project, service, initiative, and administrative support to the Patient Experience function, including information and analysis.
  • Undertake reporting and analysis of information to support delivery, including the development of reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Education to GCSE level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience in a specialist area.
  • Previous experience in complaints management and/or customer service, including knowledge of administrative procedures, project management, or information analysis.
  • Advanced keyboard skills, use of a range of software, including MS packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Skilled communicator with excellent writing, data entry, and presentation skills, ability to communicate on complex information and administrative matters, requiring developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
  • Negotiating, networking, and persuasive skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
