About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Transmission Control Support Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our business processes and improving the control centre and commissioning team processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review TCC training and support documentation to ensure it meets the needs of our control team.
  • Support the delivery of transmission projects and maintenance to ensure the transmission system operates reliably and effectively.
  • Act as an expert on new technologies and provide technical advice/policy to our control team.
  • Study our operations processes to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • An electrical engineering degree or relevant expertise with a sound knowledge and understanding of electrical power systems and related operating standards.
  • A strong background in high voltage power system operations, planning, or control.
  • The ability to develop technical skills and knowledge and use communication skills to engage with project managers, engineers, stakeholders, and the Electricity System Operator.
