Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Purchase Ledger Manager to join our finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the output of a team of purchase ledger clerks and ensuring accurate recovery of input VAT.
Responsibilities- Manage the invoice authorisation process and ensure timely and accurate passing of invoices as applicable.
- Communicate unauthorised invoice position weekly and resolve supplier queries in a timely manner.
- Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations and deal with any account anomalies that arise.
- Manage and control purchase ledger team performance, including performance management and review.
- Ensure internal audit compliance and maintain accurate records.
- Experience of managing a team of purchase ledger clerks and excellent communication skills written and verbal.
- Commercially aware and able to work in a busy environment.
- Excellent IT skills and a desire to improve processes.
- Annual appraisal and regular one-to-one reviews.
