About the Role

M Group Services is seeking a skilled Ganger to join our Infrastructure Programmes team in the London and Home Counties Area. As a Ganger, you will be responsible for the installation of district meters, zonal meters, PRV's, bypass's, cross connections, and other infrastructure projects on behalf of Thames Water.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out Health & Safety checks, including risk assessments, to ensure all installations meet hygiene practices and essential standards.
  • Communicate with Supervisors, Reinstatement Teams, and Support Drivers to ensure effective coordination of planned work.
  • Work in highways with pedestrians and live traffic.
  • Hold a Water Hygiene and NRSWA Operative Card.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of confined spaces.
Requirements
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of meter installations, new service installations, and leak repairs.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach.
  • High degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weathers and walk/stand on uneven ground.
  • Confined space working ability.
