About the Role:

As a Debt Recovery Specialist, you will be responsible for managing client debts, ensuring timely payments, and supporting the Accounts Receivable team with reporting and ad-hoc projects. Your duties will include:

  • Proactively contacting customers regarding payment terms
  • Undertaking credit control via phone, email, customer portals, or face-to-face meetings
  • Logging client queries and recording PTPs (Promise to Pays)
  • Supporting the accounts receivable team as required
  • Preparing for and attending external customer visits and monthly ledger reviews
  • Initiating proceedings to resolve outstanding debts

Person Specification:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
  • Experience using live invoicing portals
  • Confidence with accounts reconciliation
  • AAT or CICM qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills
  • Strong organisational skills, with ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Performance driven and keen to exceed expectations
