We are seeking an experienced Culinary Operations Manager to oversee all catering and service operations for Defence. This is a full-time position, contracted to 40 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly, preparing delicious food to the highest standards, and supervising culinary and catering teams.

  1. Prepare and present high-quality food dishes to meet customer expectations
  2. SUPERVISE AND LEAD A TEAM OF CULINARY PROFESSIONALS TO DELIVER EXCELLENT FOOD SERVICE
  3. Oversee inventory management, budget monitoring, and implement action plans to improve efficiency
  4. Communicate regularly with line managers to monitor KPIs and targets
  5. Maintain a positive brand image by representing Compass Group UK&I
  6. Identify opportunities for new food or service concepts to drive sales
  7. Liaise between customers and culinary and service teams to ensure excellent service
  8. Support and train teams to excel in their roles
Our Ideal Candidate:
  1. Possesses a minimum of two years' experience in catering
  2. Holds a Basic Food Hygiene certificate
  3. Demonstrates exceptional financial acumen
  4. Has excellent communication and organisational skills
  5. Is an ambitious and motivated individual always looking to upskill

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
