London, Greater London, United Kingdom Islington Council Full time

We are seeking an experienced Archives and Records Manager to join our team at Islington Council. As a key member of our Heritage Service, you will be responsible for managing and promoting access to our historical archives, local history material, and local authority records.

The ideal candidate will possess a recognised post-graduate qualification in Archives and Records Management or similar, and at least two years' professional archives experience, including working in a community-focused environment. You will have a creative and proactive approach to using archives to enrich residents' lives, building community wellbeing, creating a shared inclusive local identity, and promoting lifelong learning for all.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Please note: Priority will be given to those at risk of redundancy within Islington Council.
