We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Café Assistant to join our team at the Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a world-class visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve high-quality food and beverages to meet our centre's standards and policies.
- Perform general kitchen and café duties, including serving, washing up, setting up, and clearing down.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, ensuring all designated areas are maintained to a high standard.
- Deliver exceptional customer care, interacting with visitors, and being approachable and visible while on duty.
- Work collaboratively as a team to achieve high standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a fast-paced environment, such as a café or restaurant.
- Barista training is preferred but not essential.
- Experience with cash handling and operating a PC-based till would be advantageous, but training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Adaptability and organization in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stay up-to-date with Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Food regulations.
