Are you a driven and organized professional looking for a challenging role in the NHS? We are seeking an experienced Patient Pathway Team Leader to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of administrative staff and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a Patient Pathway Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining the efficient administration support service within Ear, Nose and Throat.

You will work closely with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of patient pathways, including diary administration, correspondence support, and other administrative duties as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of administrative staff, providing line management, supervision, and training under the guidance of the Service Manager.
  • Manage sickness absence and annual leave requests, ensuring sufficient service cover is provided at all times.
  • Ensure Statutory and Mandatory training is up-to-date and annually updated for the assigned administration teams.
  • Appraise the assigned members of the administration teams, identifying performance or development requirements.
  • Implement disciplinary procedures where necessary, monitoring and maintaining standards of performance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • People management experience, preferably within an NHS environment.
  • Experience working within an NHS environment.
  • Secretarial and administration experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, including communicating with members of the public.
  • Experience of dealing with complex information.
