Are you passionate about working in the criminal justice system and making a positive impact on people's lives? Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills? We're seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Custody Detention Officer.

About the Role

As a Custody Detention Officer, you will work closely with police officers and other agencies to provide exceptional care and support to detainees. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a safe and respectful environment for detainees
  • Assisting with forensic samples and other administrative tasks
  • Working with detainees to support their rehabilitation and reintegration into society
  • Collaborating with police officers and other agencies to ensure effective communication and coordination

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £26,000, a 4-shift on/4-shift off pattern rota, and opportunities for career progression and professional development. You will also receive a comprehensive training program, including an initial 3-week training course, to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this role.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a related field, such as police/security/armed forces (although training will be provided)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic numeracy and IT skills
  • A valid driving license and a clean driving record
  • Settled status in the UK and a valid British passport
