Podiatrist Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Podiatrist to join our Central Podiatry Team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Podiatrist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with moderate and high-risk foot health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and effective treatment to patients in a range of settings, including community and acute settings.
- Develop and implement individual care plans for patients with a wide range of clinical needs, including diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and peripheral vascular disease.
- Manage an individual caseload and commit to the philosophy of care with emphasis on patient empowerment and independence.
- Work autonomously and as part of a highly motivated team, providing a high standard of quality clinical care.
- Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership, shaping the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust.
Requirements
- Relevant diploma/degree in Chiropody/Podiatric Medicine from a recognised institution and previous accumulated postgraduate experience.
- Continued registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Certificate in local anaesthesia.
- Experience of working in the NHS and completion of a Senior II competency programme.
- Current driving licence.
