Job Title: Estate Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Estate Manager to lead our Estates and Environmental Services Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of caretakers and bulk refuse drivers/loaders to provide exceptional estates and environmental maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Inspire and motivate a team of caretakers and bulk refuse drivers/loaders to deliver consistent and high-quality services.
  • Culture Development: Embed a culture of excellent customer service and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation related to caretaking, environmental cleanliness, and resident well-being.
  • Equality and Diversity: Promote equality and diversity in staff management and service delivery.
  • Repair Management: Oversee common, minor, and communal repairs.
  • Fire Risk Assessments: Conduct Fire Risk Assessments.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams, partners, and stakeholders such as repairs, tenancy teams, community safety, police, and ground maintenance.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of caretakers, including training and performance management.
  • Availability: Attend evening meetings (limited weekend working) and possess a valid driving licence.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Demonstrable knowledge and experience in estates and environmental maintenance.
  • Customer Service: Proven ability to provide safe and comfortable homes and estates.
  • Leadership: Experience in delivering excellent customer service and driving continuous improvement.
  • Health and Safety: Strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and people management skills, experience leading a team of ground maintenance/caretakers.
  • Driving Licence: A valid driving licence.
