Job Summary

MW Appointments is seeking an experienced Associate Claims Director to join their expanding Contingency Claims team in the London office. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing the claims needs of clients and supporting other Associate Claims Directors, management, and colleagues to achieve and surpass their targets.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage new instructions and work in progress in accordance with set service standards and company procedures.
  • Register new Contingency claims accurately on relevant computer systems and update records during the life of the claim.
  • Ensure all claims and correspondence, on delegated authority cases, are correctly maintained and provide a clear and concise history of events, actions, and quantum assessment.
  • Obtain and submit completed Client claim documentation to Insurers or nominated service providers promptly.
  • Deal with Client enquiries within designated time frames or as otherwise agreed with Client.
  • Communicate effectively with Insurers, nominated service providers, engineers, and Loss Adjusters.
  • Provide advice and assistance to Clients, client directors, and other involved parties to actively manage the claim process and minimize lapse time.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience within a similar Claims role.
  • Prior experience in a client-facing role of Contingency claims handling.
  • Compliant in using MS Office applications.
  • Working with bespoke London Insurance market IT platforms.

Desirable

  • Good organization skills.
  • Personal effectiveness, including time management and priority setting.
  • High personal drive and resilience.
  • Working towards CII qualifications is desirable.
