Parking Appeals Case Officer

Make a difference in your community as a Parking Appeals Case Officer at South Gloucestershire Council.

We're looking for a skilled professional to join our team and help us enforce regulations and provide advice on parking services.

As a key member of our team, you will:

  1. Respond to challenges and appeals against Penalty Charge Notices issued, following statutory procedures and timescales.
  2. Make decisions on the validity of appeals and accept or reject them in accordance with agreed criteria.
  3. Provide advice to members of the public and businesses on parking controls in South Gloucestershire.
  4. Ensure the database for residents parking schemes in South Gloucestershire are kept up to date.

What we need from you:

  1. A relevant professional qualification such as NVQ level 3 in Notice Processing or equivalent relevant experience.
  2. The ability to manage and prioritise workload and comply with statutory requirements.
  3. Confidence with using software packages, such as Chipside.
  4. The ability to deal with members of the public who may be frustrated or disappointed, in a calm and controlled manner.
  5. Good verbal and written communication skills.
