We are seeking a skilled Planning Enforcement Officer to join our team at South Gloucestershire Council. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our communities are safe and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a caseload of planning enforcement cases, working towards effective and efficient resolutions.
  2. Contribute to the development of planning policies and strategies to support the growth and development of our communities.
  3. Provide excellent customer service, responding to internal and external enquiries and delivering a high-quality service.
  4. Display decisive decision-making in complex or unprecedented situations.

Requirements:

  1. Professional qualification in Planning and relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Confident communicator with the ability to use diplomacy and decisiveness in difficult situations.
  3. Sound understanding and knowledge of planning legislation.
  4. Organised with assigned workload and able to achieve set deadlines.
  5. Current valid driving license.
