Senior Ecologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. As a Senior Ecologist, you will play a key role in shaping ecological projects across various sectors, contributing to the success of our enthusiastic and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage ecological projects from planning to completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior ecologists, sharing your expertise and fostering their development.
  • Conduct detailed field surveys, assessments, and habitat evaluations with precision and accuracy.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, including Ecological Impact Assessments and Biodiversity Net Gain analyses.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert ecological insight throughout their projects.
  • Contribute to winning new projects by supporting proposal writing and business growth initiatives.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5-8 years in ecology or a related field.
  • A relevant degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or similar.
  • Proven experience in project management and team collaboration.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ecological Impact Assessments, Biodiversity Net Gain, and habitat management.
  • Professional membership in a recognised body (e.g., CIEEM) or willingness to apply.
  • Experience in UKHab surveys or protected species work is an advantage.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Right to work in the UK required.
