About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to lead our ecological projects and contribute to the growth of our innovative consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will work on high-profile projects, collaborating with a talented group of professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead ecological projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  2. Mentor junior ecologists, sharing your expertise to help them develop their skills.
  3. Conduct site assessments with precision, gathering accurate data for our projects.
  4. Oversee the production of top-tier reports, including Ecological Impact Assessments and Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments.
  5. Provide exceptional client service, guiding clients through each stage of their projects.
  6. Contribute to securing new projects, assisting with proposals and tenders.
  7. Collaborate with leadership to expand our ecological services.

Requirements:

  1. Extensive experience in Ecology or a related field.
  2. Educational background in Ecology or a related discipline.
  3. Expertise in Biodiversity Net Gain and Ecological Impact Assessments.
  4. Professional affiliation with a relevant body (e.g., CIEEM) or commitment to apply.
  5. Specialist skills, including experience with UKHab surveys or protected species licences, are advantageous.
  6. Full UK driving licence required.
  7. Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
