About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Estimator to join our work-winning team at Avove Limited. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in leading, developing, and delivering our estimating strategy to secure growth within existing frameworks and build strategies for future frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that estimating procedures are followed in the production of each tender and project managed through to tender sign-off and submission.
  • Generate and conclude the detailed risk assessment process on all bids specific to each complex project and use this for the conclusion of the tender price submission.
  • Develop a library of outputs and pricing data for all infrastructure works with the current frameworks provided by our clients and proactively update this for cost build-up functions.
  • Generation of handover packs and facilitate handover to the Operations team in detail to ensure both the commercial model and risks and opportunities within each specific project are clearly understood.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Water Industry frameworks and CDM regulations.
  • Experience within high-value non-infrastructure projects in the Water/Construction Industry.
  • Experience of multi-discipline Framework (major) bids of varying complexity and scope, preferably heavily weighted towards Clean and Waste Water infrastructure and some involvement in Non-infrastructure clean and waste.
  • Experience in managing supply chain and framework contracts for key suppliers and engaging with key people to drive commercial agreements.
  • Ability to communicate complicated financial and contractual issues to senior management.
  • Experience of producing multi-disciplined high-value, high-quality tender submissions.
