Job Overview

Sodexo is seeking a skilled Transport Administrator to join our team at Merville Barracks, Colchester. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support in the delivery of our fleet transport services to the MOD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of a cost-effective fleet transport service to the MOD, ensuring seamless coordination and communication with our customers.
  • Conduct regular service and health and safety audits using our IT system, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with our MOD customers, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Input transport bookings into our transport database, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Produce reports using our IT systems and software, providing valuable insights and data to inform our operations.
  • Perform other duties as required, including month-end paperwork and compliance tasks.
Requirements
  • Practical numerical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication.
  • 2 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent; or NVQ Business Administration.
  • IT qualification and/or skills in word and excel.
  • Capable typing and administration skills.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and welfare in the workplace.
  • Able to work on own initiative or within a team environment.
  • Customer service-focused.
  • Willing to learn and develop own skills.

Package Description
  • 37 hours per week.
  • Monday to Thursday 8am-4:30pm / Friday 8am-4pm.
