About the Role
MSF UK is seeking a highly skilled Epidemiologist to join our team. As an Epidemiologist, you will play a critical role in helping us understand and respond to disease outbreaks in some of the world's most vulnerable communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct epidemiological research and analysis to inform disease control and prevention strategies
- Design and implement surveillance systems to monitor disease trends and outbreaks
- Develop and implement data collection and analysis plans to support evidence-based decision making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement disease control and prevention plans
- Provide technical assistance and training to local health authorities and MSF teams on epidemiological methods and data analysis
Requirements
- Master's degree in Epidemiology or a related field
- Proven experience in epidemiological research and analysis, including experience with surveillance systems and data collection and analysis
- Strong technical skills in epidemiological methods and data analysis, including experience with statistical software
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to delivering results in a timely manner
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working in low- and middle-income countries or similar environments
- Fluency in French or Arabic
- Previous experience in a similar role with another non-governmental organization
