Key Responsibilities- Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operation of the plant, ensuring safety, quality, delivery performance, inventory, productivity, production, shipment, and cost budget targets are met.
- Strategic Planning: Plan and evaluate future capital needs, requisitions, and market analysis to justify investments.
- Human Capital Management: Ensure employees are motivated, trained, and rewarded through effective evaluation of wages/salaries and incentives.
- Financial Management: Implement robust quality accounting controls and procedures to measure attainment of committed financial targets.
- Manufacturing Optimization: Ensure manufacturing capability is cost-effective and able to support customer needs.
- Resource Allocation: Identify resources needed to meet production demands and ensure departments are appropriately staffed.
- Quality Assurance: Drive a quality-first mentality and culture within Operations to meet and exceed customer quality expectations.
- OTIF Performance: Establish requirements and implement necessary changes to improve On-Time-In-Full performance to 95% plus levels.
- Education: BSc (Hons) or higher in a relevant subject (e.g., Engineering, Material Science, etc.).
- Experience: Proven experience leading a large, complex manufacturing environment.
- Unionized Environment: Experience working within a unionized environment.
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to operate within a strategic leadership function.
- Financial Acumen: Strong financial commercial acumen.
