Job Overview

We are partnering with a leading global construction consultancy to find an experienced Quantity Surveyor - M&E specialist to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience of mechanical and electrical systems across various sectors, as well as a strong understanding of overall construction costs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing construction costs, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. A strong background in quantity surveying, preferably with chartered status or equivalent experience, is essential.

The role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will be working closely with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage construction costs and ensure projects are delivered within budget
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Chartered status or equivalent experience in quantity surveying
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
