Overview:

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a proactive and dedicated Site Manager to join their team on a freelance basis. This role will play a key part in the delivery of projects, ensuring quality completion on time and to the highest standard.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating internal subcontractors, ensuring plots are ready for inspections, and site safety procedures are followed. They will also liaise with the Housing Association's Clerk of Works and the NHBC, attend contractor review meetings, and update the Project Manager on progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and coordination of internal subcontractors.
  • Ensuring plots are ready for key stage inspections.
  • Site safety, including daily inductions, checking contractor RAMS, site inspections, and permits to work.
  • Liaising with the Housing Association's Clerk of Works and the NHBC.
  • Attending contractor review meetings.
  • Updating the Project Manager on progress.
  • Material ordering for the project.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong knowledge of construction processes and health and safety regulations, as well as relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field. You should also hold a CSCS card and SMSTS certification. In addition, you will have opportunities for professional development and career advancement within the company.

Competitive Salary:

We offer a competitive day rate, estimated at £40-60 per hour based on industry standards, experience, and location. This is a full-time position, working on various residential sites in the Oxfordshire area.
