About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Financial Planning Team Lead to join our team at Evelyn Partners. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering financial planning and wealth management advice to our clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our financial planning team and drive our business forward.

Responsibilities

  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members
  • Monitor team performance; mentor and support staff
  • Lead a team
  • Execute the annual business plan in line with agreed individual targets
  • Build new client relationships and maintain and develop existing client relationships through effective ongoing service to help minimize attrition
  • Structure and lead client meetings in a professional manner, ensuring all information and advice provided is up-to-date, technically accurate, and meets clients' needs
  • Ensure clients have the right advice to achieve their financial objectives, while understanding and considering the impact of factors such as retirement planning, inheritance, and tax efficiency for individual clients
  • Ensure client reviews are undertaken at least annually in line with clients' changing risk attitudes and strategic requirements
  • Work in partnership with Investment Management (IM) and Professional Services (PS) colleagues to develop client relationships
  • Maintain the new business pipeline (NBP) and ensure all values and dates are up-to-date

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a financial planning/advisory role
  • Experience of people management as a team leader
  • Proven ability to deal with new and existing clients on a fee basis
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to analyze client information and highlight requirements to make suitable recommendations
  • Technical/product knowledge and effective communication of wide-ranging holistic financial planning strategies and solutions
  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize work
  • Experience of operating within a risk management framework together with a thorough understanding of the risks and threats pertaining to a private client business

Qualifications

  • Holds a minimum of a relevant level 4 qualification or above (aspiring for level 7) and maintains an up-to-date statement of professional standing
