Project Overview


The successful candidate will contribute to a Wellcome-funded project investigating how early vision loss affects brain development and function. Using advanced behavioural testing and neuroimaging approaches, we aim to advance our understanding of human brain plasticity and development. Findings will inform the development of new treatments for children with blinding eye diseases.



Responsibilities



  • Design and conduct experiments to investigate the effects of early vision loss on brain development and function
  • Analyse data using computational models and machine learning techniques
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop new treatments for children with blinding eye diseases


Requirements


The ideal candidate will have a PhD in cognitive neuroscience, psychology, vision science, or a related field, with a strong academic record. Key requirements include:



  • Strong analytical and programming skills
  • Experience in human behavioural testing or neuroimaging
  • A rigorous scientific approach and excellent communication skills
