Technical Sales Engineer

Our client, a leading automation system solution provider in the UK, is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join their successful business development team. The ideal candidate will be based in the East Midlands region and have a strong background in technical sales and account management, preferably in the automotive sector or other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain sales analysis sheets for each enquiry received.
  • Report enquiry results in the weekly sales meeting and provide visibility of future enquiries and potential market demands or competitor developments.
  • Set up sales handover meetings to transfer details of the order to the technical team and support the project team and customer throughout the project life cycle when required.
Requirements:

To be considered for this challenging role, the successful candidate will possess a self-motivated and organised approach to making the best use of their time, as well as a high level of commercial acumen. They will have excellent communication skills at all levels and be flexible to travel within the UK and overseas as required.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to at least HND level or above in a relevant engineering or business-related discipline and have a strong understanding of automation systems and their applications.
