We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Planner to join our team at Bairds Malt Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of raw materials and finished goods throughout our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement supply chain plans to meet customer demands while optimizing inventory levels and production schedules at multiple sites.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of barley to meet customer demands and production schedules.
- Manage supply chain processes within SAP (ERP system).
- Generate, analyze, and present comprehensive reports to support informed decisions within the business.
- Monitor changes in customer demand and adjust forecasts accordingly to ensure alignment with sales objectives.
- Lead weekly supply chain meetings to ensure discussions stay focused and productive.
- Monitor and maintain performance matrices for merchant suppliers to enhance service levels.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain operations and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Prior experience in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- SAP expertise is desirable to utilize its functionality to enhance our current supply chain operations.
- Understanding of the cereal grain industry is advantageous to effectively navigate and address its specific challenges.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, problem-solving abilities, and a strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to utilize advanced functions, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Detailed-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Basic project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor supply chain improvement projects and track progress.
- Flexibility and willingness to develop in role.
- Ability to travel between sites and possess a valid driving license.
