About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Mayfields, a purpose-built care home providing residential dementia care for 46 residents. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in leading and inspiring a team of care assistants to deliver high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of care assistants to deliver exceptional care and support to residents
  • Support residents with personal care needs and help them participate in activities that promote their health and wellbeing
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate records
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive environment for residents

About You:

We are looking for someone who is passionate about caring for older people and has previous experience in a care setting. You will have a minimum of an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care and be willing to complete level 3. You will also have experience leading, coaching, and motivating a team to deliver high-quality care.
