Job Summary

Murphy is seeking a highly skilled Pressure Testing and Pre-Commissioning Engineer to join our award-winning Energy team in Leeds. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity and process safety of our pressure testing and pre-commissioning operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement detailed engineering procedures, systems, and plans for pressure testing and pre-commissioning operations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and internal stakeholders on pressure testing and pre-commissioning matters.
  • Ensure compliance with Murphy's Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Guide and mentor staff within the function to ensure they are working within safe guidelines.
  • Coordinate constructability input during solutions identification and development phase.
  • Coordinate and allocate construction staff to projects, ensuring appropriate skill-sets and experience.
  • Interface with project managers to ensure construction resource pool is appropriate for projected workload.
  • Ensure all pressure testing activities are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Ensure all temporary and permanent construction and installation activities are carried out in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Interface with other functional leaders to facilitate successful project development.
  • Participate in and promote Murphy's Culture Development Culture (leading to Zero Harm).

Requirements

  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
  • Experience within the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Industry.
  • Experience in Cryogenic Nitrogen, LN2 convertors, hoses, tanks & vaporisers.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical calculations from first principles, Pipeline Codes & Standards, Pressure Testing, Pipeline Pigging, Pig Trap/Test End Design etc.
