Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 (Depending on experience)

This position is for a skilled and multiskilled engineer who can perform planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and repair works on commercial sites across London and the Southeast. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and be proficient in HVAC plant, including air conditioning, boilers, controls, heating, and cooling systems, as well as ventilation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and repair works across various contracts
  • Regularly and effectively communicate with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors to maintain and develop excellent relationships and ensure smooth operation of the business
  • Liaise with internal Acorn Maintenance Engineering helpdesk and administration teams to create a collaborative and successful support function
  • Attend to call outs during normal working hours and participate in the out-of-hours emergency call out rota
  • Punctual site attendance, well-presented, and wearing relevant PPE and clothing

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds in Mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook)
  • Time served mechanical/maintenance engineer (apprenticeship)
  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Qualification/Apprenticeship
  • Valid driving licence (Essential as this is a Van Mobile position)
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook
