Process Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Engineer to support our major Chemical client in Newton Aycliffe. This is a long-term contract opportunity working full-time (Monday to Friday).
About the RoleThe Process Safety Engineer will be responsible for supporting the client across Process and Safety activities on the site's assets, including both projects/design and operations.
Key Responsibilities- Support the client in Process and Safety activities, including risk assessments and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with the client's design and operational teams to ensure safe and efficient processes.
- Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to minimize risks.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Chartered Engineer status with significant Process Safety experience in the Chemical industry.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex systems and regulations.
- Experience with risk assessment tools and ability to interpret results.
