About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Sales Teams: Work closely with sales teams to address customer regulatory requests and ensure compliance with national and international regulatory requirements.
  • Implement Sustainability Standards: Collaborate with various teams to implement sustainability standards, calculate product carbon footprints (PCF), and develop actionable regulatory strategies.
  • Develop Regulatory Processes: Develop and drive regulatory processes and procedures, ensuring all procedures are thoroughly documented and up-to-date.
  • Partner with Procurement Team: Partner with the procurement team to develop scope 3 processes for PCF calculation and ensure accurate data collection.
  • Support Site Engineers: Support site engineers and plant managers in energy mapping efforts for PCF calculations and ensure accurate data collection.
  • Maintain Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of SI Group products, including their hazard characteristics and potential impacts, and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Travel and Training: Travel within the region for training and site visits as required (infrequently).
Requirements
  • Education: MS or BS degree, preferably in Chemistry.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs and sustainability, with a focus on PCF calculation.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills (both written and oral), ability to work both independently and as part of a team, proficient in MS Office applications and database software, proven ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines, broad knowledge of global chemical regulations, and ability to interpret complex government regulations and programs.
  • Additional Requirements: Knowledge of SAP is advantageous, ability to manage a variable workload, occasionally requiring work during weekends or off-hours during peak periods.
