We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team at a thriving Primary school in Streatham, London SW16. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with teachers to identify and address challenging behaviours in students, promoting positive outcomes and improved academic performance.

About the Job

As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering targeted support to pupils exhibiting difficult behaviour. This will involve collaborating with teachers to develop effective behaviour management strategies, working one-to-one with students, and providing valuable feedback and guidance. Your duties will also include setting learning targets and tracking progress, as well as reporting back to parents/carers.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement behaviour management plans.
  2. Deliver individualised support to pupils with challenging behaviour.
  3. Set achievable learning targets and track student progress.
  4. Provide positive feedback and guidance to pupils, acting as a role model.
  5. Report back to parents/carers on student progress.

Requirements and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or SEN Teaching Assistant. A degree in Education Studies or a related field is preferred but not essential.

Compensation and Benefits
