Salary: £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Long-Term Supply / Temp to Perm
Hours: Full-Time, 38.5 hours per week (Term-Time Only, 38 weeks per year)
Rikama Education is seeking a dedicated practitioner to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties in primary schools across the Greenwich Borough.
As a Primary Behavioural Support Specialist, you will work alongside pupils who require additional support with their behaviour and emotional well-being. You will have the opportunity to use your skills in a new way, developing strategies to promote positive behaviour and supporting children to reach their full potential.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Carrying out planned programmes of intervention with pupils in the classroom and playground;
- Participating in strategy meetings with senior school colleagues to ensure the best pupil outcomes are achieved;
- Helping pupils develop their literacy, numeracy and social skills;
- Liaising with mainstream school staff on general welfare and behaviour matters;
- Recording observations and contributing to planning and strategies based on these observations;
- Attending whole school training as required;
- Promoting Equal Opportunities policies in line with the duties of the post.
