Culinary Expert for Residential Elderly Care

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Culinary Expert to join our Hospitality team at Runwood Homes, a leading provider of residential elderly care. As a Second Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our residents, ensuring their well-being and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals to the highest standards, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to maintain menu standards and ensure compliance with company requirements.
- Monitor stock levels, maintain effective stock rotation, and place orders as necessary.
- Deputise for the Head Chef when required, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in a catering environment, preferably in a care home setting.
- NVQ 2 or City & Guilds Equivalent, with a strong understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
