We are seeking a Patient Safety Advocate to join our team in Wavertree. As a Patient Safety Advocate, you will play a crucial role in improving safety throughout our organization.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have recent and relevant experience of being a patient or carer of someone using health services. This is an unpaid voluntary position.

Main Responsibilities
  • Attend and participate in safety meetings such as our quarterly Safety First meeting.
  • Help us implement and participate in the new National Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF).
  • Support the safety training of staff.
  • Contribute to developing the Patient Safety Partner role.
  • Share views on behalf of the wider community/groups of patients and provide opinions which may not just be your own.
  • Commit to providing four hours a month to the Patient Safety Partner role.

Requirements:

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

Location: Wavertree head office with some travelling to sites
