Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients experiencing mental health issues. The successful candidate will ensure the safety and well-being of patients, requiring a strong understanding of patient care and anatomy. This role demands collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Duties:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatments.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families, fostering a therapeutic environment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement treatment strategies and evaluate patient progress.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health nursing.
  • Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, employing de-escalation techniques to ensure patient safety.


Requirements:
  • Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • PMVA Certified
  • Strong knowledge of patient care principles and practices, particularly in mental health settings.
  • Understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to mental health conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative in patient care.
  • Compassionate approach with strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy towards patients' experiences.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the service needs.


Salary:
£35,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Benefits:
