Job Title: Whānau Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a part-time Support Worker in the Nelson area to join our Whānau Support Services team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized support to individuals with disabilities, assisting with daily living tasks, budgeting, meal preparation, and community activities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Whānau Support Services team to ensure seamless service delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability to work after-school hours and weekends.
  • Full driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
