Job Title: Part Time Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part Time Team Leader to join our team at Devon County Council.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full line supervisory management to a team of care assistants and housekeeping services staff. This will involve ensuring that the team delivers care in a sensitive and person-centred way, placing the service user at the forefront of the care given.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of care assistants and housekeeping services staff to ensure that care is delivered in accordance with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
  • Ensure that prescribed medicines are administered in accordance with CQC and Royal Pharmaceutical Standards.
  • Responsible for the full line management of care and housekeeping support staff, including supervision, appraisals, and development.
  • Liaise with other agencies and professionals, including care management staff and residential unit staff.
  • Contribute to records that ensure compliance with CQC Standards and DCC policies.
  • Participate in the training of new staff as part of the induction process.

  • Knowledge of CQC standards and policies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
