About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to join our Safeguarding and Support Neighbourhood teams in Tameside. As a key member of our Children's Services team, you will be responsible for leading a team of social workers and providing high-quality support and challenge to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in statutory social care, with experience of managing and supporting social workers and ASYEs. You will be a skilled leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with colleagues, external partner agencies, and most importantly, the children, young people, and families we work with.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A relevant professional qualification at Level 6 or above and a management qualification
  • A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a statutory social care environment
  • Maintained membership of a regulated body where applicable
  • Professional standards practiced to the highest expected level
