Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our Facilities Management team as a Cleaning Operative. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our school premises, ensuring a healthy and productive learning environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Regularly clean and maintain all surfaces, including internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings
  • Empty litter and recycling bins on a regular basis
  • Perform emergency and reactive cleaning tasks as required
  • Maintain the cleanliness of sanitary areas, toilets and showers, and replenish washroom consumables

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. In addition, they will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme or undergo an update check.

Working Arrangements:

The successful candidate will work 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:00-15:00. They will also be trusted with a key holder role and will work closely with the Facilities Management team.

Estimated Salary:

£24,346 - £24,646 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
