Job Title: Advanced Hand Therapy Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Hand Therapy Practitioner to join our team at Mid Yorkshire NHS Teaching Trust. This is a full-time permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and expanding service.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the clinical delivery of Hand Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy in partnership with the therapy team and wider multidisciplinary team within our specialist hand/plastics service.

Key responsibilities will include taking on the lead for advanced pathway management and review, managing Hand Therapy Trauma Clinics and Therapy led elective/outpatient clinics, and working closely with consultants and other advanced practitioners in hand therapy.

Qualifications
  • Degree in relevant therapy profession or equivalent.
  • Registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Educated to Masters degree level in advanced clinical practice or equivalent level of experience in a specialist area including having relevant Masters modules.
  • Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including attendance at recent and relevant postgraduate courses
  • Clinical Educators Course
  • Extensive evidence of training at a specialist level relevant to hand therapy
  • Injection therapy qualification or willingness to complete
  • Independent prescriber (if applicable to profession)
  • Management/leadership course
  • Research qualification
