We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Advanced Practitioner to join our team at Local Care Direct. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Job Summary

The Adult Advanced Practitioner will work independently, assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with primary and urgent care needs. You will also provide clinical mentorship and leadership to trainee and peer practitioners, promoting excellence in patient care and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with primary and urgent care needs
  • Provide clinical mentorship and leadership to trainee and peer practitioners
  • Contribute to the development of our services, ensuring high-quality patient care and service delivery
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical team to achieve shared goals and objectives
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and service delivery
Requirements
  • One of the following: NMC Registered General Nurse OR BSc in Paramedic Science / IHCD Paramedic qualification OR BSc in Physiotherapy OR MPharm AND Advanced Clinical Practitioner MSc/Post Grad Diploma in advanced clinical practice (minimum 1 year post Masters study)
  • Current registration with HCPC, NMC or GPhC
  • Experience of working in an autonomous practitioner role, with evidence of competence in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management of adults and paediatrics
  • Experience of managing minor illness and providing clinical mentorship and leadership to trainee and peer practitioners
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the clinical team
Working Arrangements

This is a part-time or full-time position, with various shifts available, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays. You will be required to work a 4-week rolling rota, with opportunities for flexible working arrangements.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £27.90 in hours and £36.27 out of hours, with opportunities for career development and progression.
