About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programme Director to lead our aircraft modification programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the programme to agreed time, cost, and quality parameters.

The Programme Director will provide leadership, management, and direction to both Draken and key supplier teams to ensure the programme is delivered within the defined constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the programme to agreed time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Direct the organisation, planning, and estimating of short, medium, and long-term milestones and lead the programme resources to deliver.
  • Manage and motivate the cross-functional Integrated Programme Team (IPT).
  • Ensure risks and issues are managed proactively.
  • Lead and role model effective and open communication throughout the IPT and with stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with key supplier personnel.
  • Ensure the team is able to effectively track, update, and report progress and variance.
  • Drive a high-performance and continuous improvement culture to ensure all opportunities are identified, evaluated, and implemented to drive further benefit to the programme.
  • Be able to direct, lead, and coach teams, individuals, and supplier resources in a complex programme environment.
  • Put in place ways of working for the programme to encourage an open and transparent approach to management of plans, risks, and opportunities.
  • Help sponsors and stakeholders to understand and fulfil their role in successfully delivering the programme.
  • Tailor and apply best practice processes and tools to meet the needs of the programme and the IPT.
  • Continuously assess and take the initiative to improve the effectiveness of processes across the programme.
