The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT invites applications from experienced pharmacists to fill the role of Advanced Clinical Pharmacist in our Cancer Services department.

This is an ideal position for someone keen to develop their pharmacy career in cancer services and aseptic manufacturing. As a key member of our team, you will support the Lead Pharmacist in providing clinical pharmacy services to our chemotherapy day unit and inpatient haematology ward.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pharmaceutical care for patients with cancer, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
  • Assist in the release of systemic anticancer treatments (SACT & CIVAS) and clinical trials products prepared by the aseptic production unit.
  • Develop and implement training programs for pharmacy technicians to enhance their skills in aseptic preparation.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings as a source of advice for pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.

Essential Requirements:

  • Vocational Master's Degree in Pharmacy + 1 year pre-registration training.
  • Registration as a Practicing Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Evidence of completion of the Aseptic Preparation and Dispensing of Medicines Course (University of Leeds).

Desirable Requirements:

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Practice - Oncology Module.
  • Experience in managing others and leading teams.

Estimated Salary Range: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
