About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Admissions Assistant to join our SEND Specialist Provision and Funding Placements Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the administration of placing and funding children and young people with Education Health and Care Plans.
Key Responsibilities- Compile and distribute complex agendas for consultation with schools to ensure effective and efficient decision-making.
- Manage complex diaries to arrange admissions decision-making forums between local authority officers and schools, overcoming conflicts and meeting statutory deadlines.
- Maintain confidential records and document sharing facilities to ensure compliance with GDPR regulations.
- Take minutes from admissions panels and decision-making forums, capturing complex information succinctly and reflecting regulatory requirements.
- Communicate admissions decisions to internal teams, schools, and families in a timely manner.
- Provide support to SEND & AP Admissions Officers/Coordinators and complete delegated tasks.
- Ensure excellent safeguarding practice, promoting the safety and welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults in line with service policy and procedure.
