About the Role

BBC Studios is looking for a Senior Broadcast Engineer to join their team and contribute to the delivery of major projects across Scheduling, Languaging, Content Supply, Centralised & Edge/Cloud Playout, Encoding, and Satellite & IP/AWS Distribution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in broadcast engineering or technical operations within a commercial environment and experience leading the requirements gathering, design, and delivery of technical systems and services.

The salary for this position is up to £56,233 plus London Weighting Allowance (£5,319) depending on relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.

The successful candidate will balance office working with home working and occasional out-of-hours cover may be required.

Key Tasks
  • Developing designs and collaborating to deliver new services.
  • Working with the business to capture requirements and provide indicative costs & designs.
  • Communicating complex technical systems to customers.
Essential Requirements
  • Strong background in broadcast engineering or technical operations within a commercial environment.
  • Experience leading the requirements gathering, design, and delivery of technical systems and services.
  • Experience of AWS Cloud, Edge Playout, and IP-based linear distribution.
